Fabric Disclaimer & Caring Tips

You have bought it, bagged it, worn it and now it’s time to wash it. Here, we explain washing instructions for different types of prints and fabrics we make.

 

Handblocks, Ajrakhs, Indigos on Pure Cotton

• Handblocks, Ajrakhs & Indigos are made and handled by human hands involving various processes.
• There are bound to be color variations, finish and overall look.
  
• They are handblock printed & vegetable dyed. The print might have slight irregularities in the motif & colors which results from the human involvement in the process & is a hallmark of handcrafted products.
• They may rub dry or bleed color on coming in contact with water.
• We recommend you to get these dry-cleaned from a reputed dry cleaner, but they can also be washed separately by hand in cold water & air dry.
• We do not recommend soaking these fabrics.

 

Tie-die & Bandhani Hand dyes on Pure Cotton

• Tie-die & Bandhani are made and handled by human hands involving various processes.
• There are bound to be color variations, finish and overall look.
  
• They might have slight irregularities in the patterns & colors which results from the human involvement in the process & is a hallmark of handcrafted products.
• They may bleed color on coming in contact with water.
• We recommend you to get these dry-cleaned from a reputed dry cleaner, but they can also be washed separately by hand in cold water & air dry.
• We do not recommend soaking these fabrics.

 

Screen Prints on Pure Cotton

• 
  We recommend you to hand wash them separately in cold water & air dry them, but they can also be machine washed with similar colors using a very mild cleanser.
• Hand-wash inside-out to protect the printed areas.
• Iron inside-out to prevent affecting the printed areas.

 

 

 

Silks, Pure Chiffon, Pure Georgette, Organza & Chanderi

• We recommend you to get these dry-cleaned from a reputed dry cleaner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Foil Prints, Gold Block Prints, Handwork, Machine Work/ Embroidery

• We recommend you to get these dry-cleaned from a reputed dry cleaner, but depending upon the fabric they can also be washed separately by hand in cold water & air dry.
• We recommend you not to use a brush or any sort of force over these prints/ work.

 

 Some Points to take care of:

• Please do not spray deodorant, mist, or perfume on the dress directly and avoid using one especially for Gold & Silver Prints.
• Each garment is draped and fitted differently. The fit depends on the cut, fabric, and styling of each garment.
• A slight difference in color from the visible product image is possible. There are times when a camera or a computer monitor can't match the perspective of an eye. A slight difference is unavoidable
• We recommend not to dry garments under direct sunlight.
• Moderate shrinkage may be expected.
• Wash garments only when necessary. Airing it after every use will keep them fresh for use, a couple of times.
• All our fabrics are of premium quality and are handpicked by our team, they are beautiful, comfortable, and delicate. We request you to take good care of them, handling them roughly or subsequent washing might take away the beauty very soon.
